About this addon

Add self-hosted crypto checkout to Krikkit membership packs. Point at your BTCPay Server, create Greenfield invoices at checkout, and fulfill entitlements when InvoiceSettled webhooks arrive — with SSRF-hardened URL checks, amount verification, and store matching.

What it does

BTCPay turns your self-hosted BTCPay Server into a first-class Krikkit payment driver. Members pay in crypto on your instance; Krikkit creates the invoice, redirects to checkout, and grants the pack when BTCPay reports the invoice settled.

Checkout flow

  • Creates BTCPay invoices through the Greenfield API at pack checkout
  • Redirects the buyer to your BTCPay checkout URL (host must match the configured server)
  • Stores expected amount, user, and pack metadata on the invoice for later verification
  • Fulfills only after a signed InvoiceSettled webhook (or equivalent settled state)

Security

  • HTTPS-only server URL with DNS resolution checks
  • Blocks private / loopback / link-local destinations (SSRF guard)
  • Rejects unexpected redirects and checkout hosts that do not match your server URL
  • Webhook signature verification with your store webhook secret
  • Validates store ID, expected amount, and metadata before granting access

Setup

  • Payments settings: Server URL, Store ID, API key, webhook secret
  • Copy the generated Webhook URL into BTCPay → Store → Settings → Webhooks
  • Subscribe to InvoiceSettled
  • Test connection before going live

Notes

  • Crypto refunds are handled in BTCPay Server, not from the Krikkit admin refund UI
  • You keep custody and fees on your own BTCPay stack — no third-party crypto processor required
