About this addon

Connect your Xero organisation over OAuth and keep the books aligned with Krikkit. Paid invoices become Xero invoices (with contacts, tax mapping, clearing accounts, and optional PDF attachments); refunds become credit notes. Auto-sync on payment, backfill history, and MoR-aware posting for gateways like Paddle and Whop.

What it does

Xero connects your Krikkit workspace to a Xero organisation so completed billing already lives in your ledger — without CSV exports or double entry. After OAuth and a one-time mapping of tax treatments and clearing accounts, paid and refunded invoices can sync automatically.

Invoice sync

  • Creates or updates Xero invoices for paid Krikkit invoices (numbered only; sample invoices are skipped)
  • Upserts contacts from the buyer on the invoice
  • Posts payments against the mapped clearing / bank account per payment driver
  • Optionally attaches the Krikkit invoice PDF to the Xero invoice
  • Idempotent re-sync — safe to retry without duplicating Xero documents
  • Refuses to overwrite an already-issued Xero invoice if the Krikkit invoice changed after sync

Refunds

  • Refunded invoices create Xero credit notes
  • Optional auto-sync when refunds are recorded in Krikkit

Tax & accounts

  • Map each Krikkit tax treatment to a Xero TaxType and revenue account
  • Map a clearing account code per payment driver (Stripe, PayPal, Paddle, Whop, and others)
  • Merchant-of-record posting modes: net (recommended) or gross charged — useful for Paddle / Whop
  • Seed example mappings for Demo Global tenants, then adjust with your accountant
  • Tax tolerance checks (±0.05) so mismatches surface before the books drift

Operations

  • Finance → Xero settings: OAuth app credentials, connect / reconnect / disconnect
  • Test connection, refresh accounts & tax rates from Xero
  • Enable sync, auto-sync paid invoices, auto-sync refunds, attach PDF
  • Backfill: queue historical paid and refunded invoices
  • Recent sync log with status, open-in-Xero links, and reconnect alerts when the token expires
